What Motivates Us
Giving brings a full sense of purpose and satisfaction; it is a joy when you take each step, each day knowing you are about to do something meaningful. You look forward to each time you affect positive change on people who have touched your heart. It is an indescribable, mesmerizing feeling that our team consistently wishes everyone will experience.
This happiness created by generosity has drawn many good-hearted individuals to Benevolent Helping Hands both here in the USA and in Africa. The feeling of fulfillment is unparalleled knowing you are changing lives. Although various aspects of lives are beyond human control, giving allows us to choose how and where to make a difference in the lives of those we touch. There is nothing more self-affirming than the consciousness of doing the right thing, and it feels good.

Women Empowerment Programs
Women have been marginalized in Africa and we believe this is one of the contributing factors which keeps Africa in poverty.
We provide business management training and start-up funds to women and groups, at accessible locations throughout Nigeria. In helping women improve their entrepreneurial abilities, we equip them with the skills to create their own enterprise, subsequently providing for their families and communities.
Training encourages women to participate in stakeholder committees through highly ranking leadership coaching, literacy training, business training, organizational mobilization and market access, enabling women entrepreneurs to sell their goods in the global community & bring economic stability to their communities
Health/Wellness (Medical Outreach)
Our workshops provide opportunities for free medical care, check-ups and treatments. Our volunteers dispense free medicines to all villagers – that they would otherwise have difficulty obtaining. We also operate an AIDS initiative through community hospitals aiming to catch the disease and provide treatment in its early stages. And throughout the year, Benevolent Hands helps local hospitals replenish medical equipment and supplies.
We endeavor to strengthen the healthcare systems and train African health workers to respond to their communities’ most critical health challenges: substance abuse, maternal and child health, noncommunicable and infectious disease (Cancer, Diabetes, HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, etc), access to clean water and sanitation, and surgical and clinical outreach.

Emergency Food Drive
We provide communities sustainable solutions to factors causing extreme poverty & hunger.
Our teams meet directly with community members to ascertain local conditions and create a collaborative strategy. We educate small-scale farmers sustainable eco-friendly farming techniques, so they can lead the adaptation of their community’s agriculture and increase the resilience of their farms to environmental crises and climate change.
