Akam Lawson is the cofounder of Benevolent Helping Hands. He obtained Bachelors’ degree in French & International Relations from Penn State University. As an Americorps Scholar, his community projects and workshops have centered around mentoring & tutoring youth, rebuilding communities after disaster, helping veterans, and working with local communities to alleviate poverty. Akam has also served as an international consultant for nonprofits in West Africa.
